Using a disappearing ink embroidery pen, draw a rectangle about 1” x 6”. Mark the half way point
1
Draw your word, go over it a second time to darken it
2
Put the felt into an embroidery hoop
3
Thread your needle with all 6 strands of floss and knot the end
4
Embroider your word using split stitch
5
Tighten the felt if it gets loose while stitching
7
Finish stitching your word
8
Tie floss in the back and cut off extra
9
Draw half circles in the middle of the rectangle and cut it out
10
Cut off extra space on the end if needed
11
Pin to a contrast color felt and cut out with about a 1/4” border
12
Slip through a key ring and align the edges
13
Use blanket stitch to attach all edges of felt
14
Add to your keys and you’re good to go!
15
Now it’s your turn!
