Trim the fabric square around the paper template. Leave approx. 3/8” seam allowance.

Glue the template to the WRONG side of your fabric using water soluble fabric glue.

Glue along the bottom straight edge and fold the fabric seam allowance over keeping it tight against the paper template.

Glue along the straight sides and fold fabric seam allowance over the edge of the paper template.

Glue along 1/2 of the petal edge and fold fabric seam allowance over. Smooth the fabric over the edge of the paper template with your fingertips.

Glue along the remaining petal edge and fold the fabric seam allowance over. Smooth the fabric over the edge of the paper template with fingertips.

Check the edges of the basted petal are smooth and rounded. Found a lumpy bit???➡️➡️

Turn over and peel back the offending area. Re-apply the fabric glue and smooth the fabric seam allowance over the edge of the paper template again.

Your finished petal! Repeat for any remaining petals according to the pattern instructions.
