Flaxseed Facial Rejuvenating Gel
These are the amounts that I always use to make the gel; for each cup of water 2 tablespoons of flax seeds.
This is my technique, it will be easier to extract the gel. Don’t let the water evaporate too much, let it boil for 5 minutes and remove from heat.
Let it cool completely. Overcooking the gel will make it too dense and the seeds will not settle.
Seed free gel! You don't need the cumbersome task of passing it through a strainer.
Extract the gel avoiding the seeds.
Add 1 tablespoon of glycerin. You can also use the oil of your choice, but the glycerin mixes better with the gel and is more hydrating and light.
Add essential oil of your choice, this is the percentage that you use. To 100ml (3oz) of gel and add 30 drops of essential oil.
Mix very well with the help of a hand blender or with a fork.
Store in the refrigerator, it has a shelf life of up to 15 days.
Don't throw away the used seeds, add them to your smoothies. Flax helps eliminate toxins, cleanses the intestinal flora and the digestive system.
For best results, use 2 x daily.
This gel can replace the facial toner and serum. Don't forget to use sunscreen.
Gently and generously apply on the entire face and neck. (Don't get too close to the eyes)
You can use 1 or more at a time, keep in mind not to exceed the amount of essential oils because they can irritate the skin.
