Gather ingredients: White PVA glue, Borax, warm water, food coloring and a one gallon zip lock bag
1
Put 2 cups of glue in the bag
2
Fill measuring cup with one and a half cups of water and stir in food coloring
3
Pour the water into the bag
4
Seal the bag well trying to get most of the air out.
5
Squeeze and manipulate the bag to mix completely.
6
Fill a measuring cup to one and one third cups of very warm water.
7
Add 3 teaspoons of Borax to the water.
8
Mix until completely dissolved.
9
Pour Borax water mixture into the bag of glue mixture.
10
Seal the bag getting out as much air as possible.
11
Squeeze and manipulate the bag to mix thoroughly.
12
As you work the mixtures together, the flubber starts to form and water starts to separate out.
13
Carefully knead the water into the forming flubber.
14
Continue mixing until almost all of the water is absorbed.
15
Open the bag and knead the flubber further incorporating the water.
16
Any leftover water can be dumped out.
17
Your flubber is ready for play.
18
It will be a little wet at first but will quickly dry as you play.
19
It can be shaped but won’t hold its shape long
20
It slowly spreads out in a puddle.
21
It stretches if you pull gently or let gravity do the work.
22
If you drape it over a cup, a bubble will slowly form.
23
You can mold it somewhat.
24
But keep an eye on it because if left on a table, it will try to escape.
25
It’s like slime but not as elastic and breaks if pulled too quickly. It’s soft, squishy, and bouncy!
26
Kept in a zip lock bag or plastic container it will last for several weeks of fun!
