First add chickpeas and some water and bring to a simmer

Add fava beans and bring to a simmer (preferably small fava beans)

Mash until you reach a desired consistency. Add more water if needed.

Flavor bomb mix! Chopped parsley, minced garlic, chopped chili pepper, lemon and olive oil.

Add mixture to soup with salt and pepper to taste (add any spices you want). I also added some fresh ginger (optional)

Cook on low to incorporate flavors well. Taste to check flavor - I usually add more lemon. Serve and enjoy!
