Garlic Turmeric Rice

Gather your ingredients and Pampered Chef tools.

After letting 1C basmati rice soak in water for 30 minutes, drain in the Stainless Steel Colander.

Rinse rice to remove some of the starch. Drain well by pressing with bottom of Silicone Prep Bowl.

Add 1T butter and 1T of olive oil to the 8” Nonstick Fry Pan.

When the butter is melted, add minced shallots and (at least) 3 cloves of pressed garlic.

When the shallots are soft, add 1 tablespoon of turmeric.

Add rice and let it roast for about three minutes.

Stir to mix rice, shallots, and seasonings.

Add 2 cups of chicken broth.

Bring to a boil then turn heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.

Fluff the rice with a fork.

Serve with delicious seasoned chicken or vegetables!
