Watch a sneak peek at today’s O’Keeffe-inspired landscape!
Across the middle of your paper, draw a couple different mountain peaks. This will be part of your BACKGROUND.
1
From the top of each mountain, draw irregular(“bumpy”) lines that flow down & branch out towards the base of your mountains. ⛰
2
Then, draw another irregular (“wavy”) line across your paper below your mountain range. This will be your MIDDLE GROUND.
3
Next, draw an irregular (“hopping”)line across your paper. This will be part of the trees in your FOREGROUND.
4
In the FOREGROUND, start drawing irregular “Y” shapes. These will be your tree🌳 trunks & branches.
5
Continue adding smaller “V” shapes to make more tree 🌳 branches.
6
Then, add one more wavy line above the tree line to your MIDDLE GROUND. These will be the hills in your landscape.
7
Using a thick, dark marker, trace the mountain ⛰ lines in a color of your choice.
8
Next, using a lighter tint/color, draw a second line along all your mountain lines.
9
Repeat the same thing, using different colors, with the bumpy hills in the MIDDLE GROUND.(Dark color—>Lighter color)
10
Finally, trace the tree line in thick, green marker before you...
11
...trace the tree🌳 branches & trunks in brown marker.
12
Last of all, color in the bigger, empty spaces in. You can do this in crayon 🖍, color pencil ✏️, or even paint 🎨!
13
Make sure to cover all the blank paper spaces!
14
We hope you enjoyed creating your O’Keefe-inspired landscape today!
