This tutorial shows how to base glitter your cup using resin, dispersion colors, and glitters.
1
If making a custom color. Mix before mixing your resin. Equal parts midnight blue and flamingo.
2
Mix your resin. 20ml each part used and mixed for around 60 seconds. Make sure to scrape the sides.
3
Separate your resin into 3 cups. Add your dispersion colors (2-3 drops each color)
4
Now add your colored resin mix to your sanded tumbler.
5
Add the next color and lightly blend the two colors together where they meet.
6
Now add your darkest and last color. Again lightly blending the edges.
7
I had a bit of the cameo cream left so I went ahead and added it to the white section.
8
Quickly torch your resin to pop any bubbles. Let your cup spin for 15 minutes to let resin get tacky
9
Now to add the glitter. Start with your lightest area first, sprinkling from different angles.
10
Continue by adding your colored glitters lightly throughout, mixing sizes.
11
Keep adding glitter alternating between sizes and colors till you get the look you desire.
12
To add my flakes I just dip my finger in the jar and pat them on the tumbler.
13
Next I add my chunkiest opal over the purple and blue area allowing some to drop over my ivory.
14
I want full coverage on my ivory so I go over it one last time to make sure no areas were missed.
15
You want to gently push down any glitter sticking up and smooth the glitter around the rim.
16
Once cured (2 hours) top a layer of CCDIY Artist Resin.
17
Now you can add a decal then add your final coat of resin.
