Gluten-free Caramelized French Onion Soup!
Gather your ingredients!

Melt the butter over medium-low heat.

Add the sliced onions and baking soda.

Let the onions go low and slow until they are caramelized.

Add the arrowroot starch and mix until it’s no longer visible.

Add the beef broth and deglaze the pan. Make sure to pick up the bits on the bottom of the pan.

Add the coconut aminos.

Add the garlic, salt, pepper and herbs.

Let it simmer 15 minutes. Once it’s done add the apple cider vinegar and remove the bay leaves.

Transfer the soup into oven safe bowls.

Add your favorite toasted gluten-free bread and cheese and broil until melted then enjoy!
