11 Great Austin Hikes
Crockett Garden Falls is an awesome hike along the cliffs of the lake to a beautiful waterfall.
Commons Ford is an easy, short hike near the lake. Great for smaller kids.
Reimers Ranch is both a canyon and a forest preserve so there’s a lot to see in one park.
Wild Basin is one of my go-to hikes because of this waterfall, scenic overlooks and easy parking.
Goodwater Loop is a great trai around Lake Georgetown for dayhikes or an overnight backpacking trip.
McKinney Falls swim area can get ultra crowded in the summers but the trails are always pretty open.
Hamilton Greenbelt is a super nice trail system in the Lake Travis area with a bird watching area.
Pace Bend has miles and miles of trails. One side of the park is beaches, the other side is cliffs.
Barton Creek Greenbelt is the most popular hike in Austin so I like hiking midweek to avoid crowds.
Bull Creek is an Austin favorite for hiking, mountain biking, and more.
Mount Bonnell is a short hike but the views are really the focus here as it overlooks Lake Austin.
