Gulab Jamun- Dough Balls in Sugar Syrup

Dough balls in sweet sugar syrup are simply so delicious
Add 1 cup of Nido milk powder, 1 tbsp flour and 1 tsp baking powder

Mix all the dry ingredients

Seperately in a pot take 1 1/2 cups water and 1 1/4 cups sugar

Add 3-4 cardamom,give it a boil and then lower the flame.

Add 1tbsp of Ghee or butter to the dry ingredients

Now add 1 beaten egg

Mix well until all the ingredients are combined in a dough

The dough will be soft and sticky

Make small balls from the dough, they will rise upon frying

The dough will yield roughly 18 balls depending on the size

The sugar syrup will be runny and not sticky

Deep fry the dough balls on low flame

Make them brown on all sides

When they are golden brown, take them out

Immediately put the fried balls in the boiling sugar syrup

Cover the lid and cook it on low flame for 10 mins

The balls will be glazed and dipped well in sugar.
