Add shredded cabbage and carrots into a sterilized jar.

Add Scotch Bonnet peppers (or equivalent) and chopped shallots and/or onions.

Add peas, salt, whole cloves and black peppercorns.

Cover with distilled white vinegar, close the jar and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 days.

Pikliz can be kept and enjoyed for several months.
