Halloween Skellington Cupcakes

Sprinkle 1pk of gelatin in 1/4 cup of cold water. Let bloom

Once it’s bloomed it will look like this.

Put it in the microwave for 15-30 seconds to heat the gelatin until melted.

Add to mixer or bowl and add in 1tbs butter, 1/2 cup corn syrup, 1tbs glycerine, and 1tsp vanilla.

Next start adding 8 cups of powdered sugar, a couple cups at a time stopping after to let it mix in.

Let it mix in the mixer for 5 minutes, and then get a clean surface ready to knead the fondant.

Knead the fondant until it is nice and smooth, no stickiness left.

If you want to add color, now is the time. Knead it in until fully combined.

Take your white fondant and roll out, then cut 3” circles for the faces.

Draw on the mouth, nose, and eyebrows with black decorating icing.

Next cut out the eyes from the black fondant.

Apply some frosting to your cupcakes and then stick the fondant faces on top. 🎃 Happy Halloween
