Halloween Skull Face Mask.
Trace around template onto fabric on the fold. Cut out 3 pieces; 2 outer and 1 inner.
1
Download the skull file and save to your computer. Then upload it to your Cricut Design workspace.
2
Place outer layer of fabric onto the Cricut mat to determine the size needed for your skull design.
3
Once the design size is correct, select 1 layer to cut out first and hide the other 2 layers.
4
Load the transfer paper shiny side down and load mat into the Cricut machine. Cut out design.
5
Carefully pull away excess transfer paper. Repeat this process for each layer of the skull design.
6
Warm mask fabric for 20seconds with an iron, then position your first layer onto the mask.
7
Press iron onto transfer, hold for 15-20 seconds. Ensure iron is on Cotton setting and use no steam.
8
Turn mask over and repeat on other side to ensure the design is set. Remove clear sheet to finish.
9
Repeat steps 7 - 9 with each colour of transfer to complete the skull design.
10
Fold and pin each layer in half, right sides together. Then sew the darts with a 1cm seam allowance.
11
Place all layers together right sides facing in. Sew top and bottom edges with a 1cm seam allowance.
12
Carefully turn mask right side out, then fold under the open ends 1cm and pin in place.
13
Cut 2 pieces of elastic 15cm long. Place each end of elastic into the side seams ready to sew.
14
Top stitch around mask with a 3mm seam allowance. This will close the ends and secure the elastic.
15
Use the hot glue gun to decorate the mask with gems to finish!
