Hibiscus Flowers Agua Fresca
Ingredients: hibiscus flowers concentrate, limes, sugar to taste, water and ice.
To make the concentrate you put dry hibiscus flowers in boiling water, let it rest so that the flowers release its color and flavor. Use 1:1 ratio.
For this agua fresca, strain 2 cups of the concentrate.
Pour the concentrate in a pitcher. Add 1/2 cup of sugar and mix to dissolve.
Add the juice of 1 lime and mix again.
And enough water to fill the pitcher (I used about 2 quarts total). Mix well.
To serve: add some ice to a cup and then pour the agua fresca.
Enjoy! Hibiscus flowers water (agua de jamaica) is so refreshing.
With the hibiscus flowers concentrate you can also make paletas. Just use less water and adjust the sugar.
