In a bowl add 2 1/2 cups lg flake oatmeal, 1/2 tbsp cinnamon, & 1/4 tsp salt.
Melt 2 tbsp of butter. Add with 2 tbsp oil, 6 tbsp syrup or honey, & 1/2 tbsp vanilla.
Spread the oat mixture onto lined baking sheet.
Bake at 350F for 10 minutes. Stir. Bake for another 10+ min, until oats are toasted & light brown.
Add any type of dried fruit, nuts and/or seeds that you like.
Stir nut mixture into granola. Once cooled, store in an air-tight container. Enjoy!
