Homemade Peppermint Candy Cane Ice Cream
Gather heavy cream, whole milk, peppermint extract, sugar, and candy canes.

Add 1 cup whole milk.

Mix sugar and milk until sugar is dissolved.

Add 2 cups heavy cream.

Add 1-2 teaspoons of peppermint extract.

Mix together to combine.

Set ice cream maker for 25 minutes. Make sure bowl has been in freezer at least 24 hours.

Once running, pour the mixture in.

In the last few minutes, add 1/4 cup crushed candy canes.

Place ice cream on freezer storage containers to firm up.
