Start browning the ground beef with a little olive oil

Add onion, carrots, celery, garlic. Use a food processor for all the vegetables.

Season with salt, black pepper, oregano, dry basil, red pepper flakes.

Add one can of chopped tomatoes.

Rinse can with water, add to the pot. Add one bay leave and cover.

Let it simmer slowly for one to two hours.
