Homestyle Scalloped Potatoes
Add 3 cups half & half to a small saucepan

Stir in 1 t. salt and 1 T. thyme

Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat, set aside

Combine 1T. softened butter with 1 garlic clove (minced) and brush on bottom and sides of 2qt. baker

Thinly slice 4 russet potatoes

Layer the potatoes in the baker and pour half & half over the potatoes

Cover with foil, bake at 400F for 40 minutes. (Catch sauce that bubbles over in a sheet pan below.)

Remove from the oven and top with Parmesan cheese and bacon bits

Bake uncovered 15-20 minutes more, until cheese is browned and potatoes are tender

Let cool 10 minutes before serving
