How Break Down A Whole Chicken
Prepare work space by getting out a whole chicken, vinyl gloves, a sharp boning knife, cutting board, paper towels and sheet pans.
Let’s break down a whole chicken into a bone in breast, legs & thighs, wings, and back.
Put on some gloves! We’re going to start with the wings.
Flip her over and remove the leg and thigh. Start by cutting back the skin and pop the thigh bone. Cut along the thigh meat to remove it.
Remove the back from the breast bone.
After separating the breast from the rib cage, cut along the neck to remove the back completely.
There you go. A bone in breast, two leg and thigh pieces, a back and two wings.
