Cut out fondant to cover walls, roof & chimney. Lightly place on cookie so it picks up its shape.
Now that the fondant is a bit harder, put water on the fondant. “Glue” the fondant to your cookies.
Time to assemble! Get thick (quick drying) royal icing & build the house. Reinforce it with icing.
Now assemble the roof - measure exact dimensions! Brush dipped in water will help mold icing.
Place roof on house. Now add decor: sprinkle snowflakes, “grass” & roof shingles.
Practice the “snowy” roof on parchment. Then pipe on house. Or, wait one day to dry to peel off.
Now pipe decor. Trick: do not do individual dots - it’s more like a string of pearls.
Add final touches & enjoy!
