How To Create A White Wash Look
Before...Original (left).. sanded to barewood (right)..
1
I am using Dixie Belle Cotton and 2” premium chip brush
2
I applied the paint on the wood, laying heavier at some points while lighter at others.
3
Once the 1st coat dried,I applied the paint on the spots where I wanted it more heavier and visible
4
I sanded it down with 220 grit for a smooth and distressed finish.
5
I used three transfer from redesign with Prima- Market, Farm Fresh and Everyday Farmhouse.
6
I finally sealed the piece with Dixie Belle clear coat (satin)and restored the inside in Butta
7
Here is the final look of the farmhouse makeover.
8
I drilled new holes and screwed in the cup pulls from DLawless Hardware.
9
“Farm Fresh” transfer on the other side.
10
I cut the “Everyday Farmhouse” transfer and used it randomly, mainly on the front and some on sides
