How To Crochet A Magic Ring
The magic ring is a great way to start a project in the round with out an unwanted hole in the center!
1
Grab your hook and yarn and let’s go!
2
Begin by placing the yarn across your hand like this,
3
Wrap the yarn around two fingers, creating an “X” on the bottom,
4
Make sure the last wrap on top is closer towards you,
5
With your hook, go up under the first loop, pick up the second loop and bring it up,
6
Carefully slip your fingers out and hold your new ring securely,
7
Work your stitches into the center of the ring (I’m working some single crochets here)
8
When you’ve worked the number of needed stitches, pull the tail tightly to close the center hole. Join to close with a slip stitch.
9
Cut the yarn, fasten off and then trim the center tail, then weave in outer tail.
10
Done! A lovely crochet circle!
