How To Crochet Into The Back Of A Chain
Grab any size yarn + hook! I’m using my 7mm Streamline + a chunky #5 weight yarn.
1
Start with a slip knot on our hook. Then we’re going to make a chain.
2
You can chain any number to practice.
3
Here we have the top of the chain stitches, they look like little Vs.
4
We’ll work into the 4th chain from our hook.
5
Flip the chain over, yo + insert your hook under the back bump of the 4th ch.
6
Finish the double crochet. The skipped chains counts as the first double crochet.
7
Double crochet in the back bump of the next chain.
8
Repeat in each chain across the row.
9
Working into the back bump gives us a nice edge that looks just like the top of our stitches.
