How To Do A Ladder Stitch (aka Invisible Stitch)
Thread your needle and tie a knot at the end of the string.
Insert needle at one end of the opening.
Insert needle directly across from the previous stitch. (Only stitch through the top layer of folded fabric; not both layers.)
Insert needle directly across from previous stitch.
Pull tight. Repeat.
What NOT to do: make sure you don’t see your needle from the inside like this.
Instead, you should only be threading your needle through the top layer of folded fabric, into the fold chamber, so you shouldn’t see your needle.
Repeat until the length of the hole is covered.
Gently pull tight to close up the seam.
