Grab a ripe melon, a cutting board, sharp knives, a large spoon, and a bowl

Carefully slice the melon in half

Scoop out the melon seeds with a large spoon

Slice the halves in half again and then in quarters lengthwise

Carefully cut along the rind preserving as much flesh of the melon as you can

Chop slices into small chunks if you are using melon for a jam recipe like I am!

That’s it! Large chunks for eating - small chunks for preserves
