How To Identify And Treat Scale On Your House Plants
Scale bugs are small, oval and flat, with a protective brown shell-like covering.
Sometimes scale is hard to identify as it looks like brown marks on plants, but scale bugs generally target leaves and stems.
You can tell it is scale and not an abrasion if you can gently scrape it off your plants.
Scale can spread quickly among plants that are close together
Once you identify you have scale, it’s important to act fast! Spray your plants down with neem oil or diluted rubbing alcohol to kill the scale bugs.
Gently wipe down your plants with your neem oil or rubbing alcohol solution until the scale is removed.
