How To Install Peel And Stick Floor Tile
Start by cleaning the floor and letting it dry. Find the center of the room and lay out all the full tiles to make sure there is room on the edges.
1
Make grid lines if you don’t have them already (I used the existing tile line). Peel and stick the whole tiles first. Lay them in a stair step pattern
2
Make the straight cuts first. Use a t-square to make and a clear ruler to help measure. Use your xacto knife and rotary wheel to make the actual cuts
3
If a corner doesn’t fit right, use your rotary tool to cut away the excess. Remember not all measurements are square so measure both sides before cuts
4
Not perfect, but I did caulk at the end to fill in some of the miss cuts.
5
I used a gel pen to make the marks on either end so I could wipe it away. These are all crafting tools, but worked great for this project.
6
Measure twice, thrice, and frice 😂. Remember nothing is square like you think it should be.
7
I made marks on the clear ruler with my gel pen and then transferred it to the tile. I used the t-square to line up the ruler to use as a cut guide.
8
When working around the toilet, use the back paper as a template to place over the tile to get the right cuts.
9
For the back of the toilet, it was easier to cut the two sides in half rather than keep it one piece.
10
Learn from me: Lay ALL the full tiles before making any cuts - especially around the toilet. I had to do some small cuts to get it matched up.
11
Not sure it was the smoothest method, but this is how I made the cutout for the vent.
12
Note: Consider the closet door open and shut before making your full cuts or you’ll have to patch this mistake just like what I made.
13
At the very end, I caulked the perimeter edges to seal it up and give it a clean edging. What do you think?

These are all the materials I used. You can find links for all of them in the next slide.
