How To Make Cinnamon Buns
Prep ingredients.

Mix 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 tsp. cinnamon and 1 tsp. nutmeg together.

Mix 14 oz. flour, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tbsp. dry instant yeast together.

Add 3.4 oz (100 ml) milk.

Add 1 large egg and 1 tsp. vanilla.

Add 1/4 cup cubed butter and incorporate with your hands until a dough ball forms.

Cover the dough loosely with plastic wrap. Let rest for 10 minutes.

Transfer the dough ball to a lightly floured surface.

Roll the dough out into a rectangular shape, about 12” wide.

Preheat oven to 375ºF (190ºC). Use a pastry brush to cover the dough with 1/4 cup melted butter.

Sprinkle the brown sugar mix on top.

Roll up the dough into a log.

Cut the roll into smaller pieces (about 1.5 inches wide). You should get 8 individual pieces. Transfer to a baking pan.

Let them sit, covered with a damp towel, until they double in size (about 1 hour).

Bake in the 375ºF preheated oven for about 20 minutes – or until golden brown.

Mix 1/2 cup softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup icing sugar, and 2 tbsp. hot water with electric mixer or whisk until smooth. Set aside.

Drizzle the glaze over the buns and sprinkle with some more cinnamon if desired.
