How To Make Crispy Shallots In Browned Butter
All you need for this topping is 1 stick of butter, 1 shallot, and a little salt.
1
Peel and mince the shallot.
2
Use a large deep skillet. Turn on the stove to medium-high and add 1 stick of butter.
3
As the butter melts, it will start to foam and begin to brown, especially around the edges of the pan.
4
Once the butter begins to brown, add the minced shallots. The water from the shallots will cook out immediately and get foamy. Lower heat to medium.
5
After the water cooks off from the shallot, they will slowly start to brown and carmelize.
6
Continue to cook on medium/medium-low stirring occasionally for 13-15 minutes.
7
Once the shallots have browned completely do, season with a little salt. They’re ready!
8
Use as a topping for steak, chicken, green veggies, or mix in rice. It’s good 🤤
