How To Make Deviled Eggs
Today I will teach you how to make deviled eggs. I’ll teach you how to cook the eggs, make the filling, and some toppings you can put on top!
To start you’ll need eggs, paprika, mayonnaise, mustard, salt, sugar, sweet relish, a pot, a bowl, and mixing utensils
Fill pot with cold water to completely cover eggs, sprinkle in some baking soda to help with ease of peeling
Gently add eggs to pot. Bring water to a rolling boil, cover, keep pot on burner but turn off heat, and allow to steam for 15 minutes
Fill large bowl with ice water, transfer eggs to bowl, and let sit for 30 minutes until completely cooled
Remove eggs from water, dry, and peel
Cut each egg in half length-wise
Gently remove yolk and put them in a separate bowl
Mash yolks
In yolk bowl, add a squirt of Mayo, a small squirt of yellow mustard, a pinch of salt, a generous pinch of sugar, and chopped up sweet relish
Mix, use a scraper to consolidate the egg mixture, have a piping bag, ziplock bag (with a corner cut off), or a spoon ready to go
Pipe the egg mixture into the empty yolk-cavities in the egg white
Top with paprika: chill in fridge for 2-4 hours before serving
*Optional* you can also add these toppings before serving to spice things up- chopped chives, bacon, hot sauce, etc
If you ever need something to take to a party or gathering, deviled eggs are the perfect snack! They’re high in protein and a healthy snack
To end I have a joke- “What does an evil hen lay?” —deviled eggs
