Put 1 tsp yeast in a bowl

Pop in 1 tsp sugar

Pour in 3/4 cup warm water. Leave to stand for 10 mins, until it starts bubbling

In a large bowl, sieve 2 cups of plain flour

Add 3/4 tsp baking powder

Sieve in 1/2 tsp salt

Add 3 tbsp vegan yoghurt to the yeast and water mix. Coconut or soy yoghurt is best

Pour in 2 tbsp olive oil too

Add the wet mix to the dry

Knead for a few minutes, add a sprinkling of flour if too sticky

Leave to rest for 1-2 hours, covered with a damp tea towel

Remove from the bowl on to a floured surface

Cut into four equal parts

Shape each dough ball and leave to rest for 10 minutes

With your hands, press into an oval naan shape

Put the naan bread into a frying pan on a medium heat, no oil needed

After a few minutes, and once bubbles form, flip over. Repeat until all are done, and enjoy!
