How To Make Instant Pot Bao Buns
Add warm milk and warm water to a bowl.

Add yeast to the milk, water and butter and let sit for 10 minutes to activate and become bubbly.

Add flour to a separate mixing bowl.

Add sugar and salt to the flour.

Add the yeast mixture to a mixer and add the flour mixture. Mix on low.

Mix for 5 minutes.

When the dough comes off the sides of the bowl it is ready.

Place the dough in a greased bowl. Cover with towel and let rise for 1-1.5 hours.

Remove the dough and place on a cutting board.

Cut the dough into 12-15 pieces

Roll each piece of dough into a ball.

With a rolling pin, roll the dough balls into flat disks.

Cut small pieces of parchment paper. Fold the disk over the parchment paper to form a taco.

Place 6 cups of water into the instant pot and turn on sauté mode. Loosely cover to create steam.

When there is steam you are ready to steam the buns.

Place the buns into a steamer basket.

Place a trivet in the bottom of the pot and then top with basket of buns. Steam for 15 minutes.

Carefully remove the basket from the instant pot. Fill with desired filling and serve!
