How To Make T-Shirt Yarn
Use a 100% cotton t-shirt with no side seams.

Cut off the top of the t-shirt at the end-point of the arm pits.

You can mark the cuts with a frantic pencil or just use the rulers on the mat.

Leave 1” uncut at the top and cut in 1.5” pieces.

Remove the serged bottom edge of the shirt. You can cut this off with the top part too, if you want.

Open of the cut t-shirt to prepare for creating the continuous strand.

Make sure strands aren’t sticking together.

Lay out your piece in a way that allows you to cut it easily.

Set up your angle to start the beginning of the strand.

Crafters, start your cutting!

Start pulling to double check your angle direction.

Finish cutting all your angles to keep your stand going.
