How to make your own sketchbook!
28 STEPS
or as I like to call it, your portable life museum!
1
You will need: paper, string, tape, scissors, a thumb tack, and a sharp pencil
2
And last but not least: a cereal box! (any cardboard food container will work)
3
Fold each page individually: hamburger style
4
Place papers inside one another
5
Break down the cereal box
6
Place your pages at a crease inside your cereal box & make sure the box completely covers the papers
7
Trace the pages with a pencil
8
Cut out 3 sides of the tracing (not the side with the crease)
9
Fold at the crease, trace the opposite cover, and cut your tracing (do not cut the crease)
10
Open up the pages to the center, place a dot in middle of the page and a dot on both sides
11
Take away the cover and use a push pin to push a hole through your dots on the paper
12
Line up the center of pages with the center of cover, poke holes through the pages into the cover
13
Use your pencil to make all the holes bigger
14
Cut your string & wrap the tip with tape
15
Cut the tape into a point
16
Thread from the inside to the outside through the middle dot in the paper and cover
17
Leave about this much thread in the middle
18
Thread back into the center of the book through the bottom hole, pull tight at the end!
19
Thread back through the middle again & pull tight. (this can be tricky!)
20
Thread through the last hole toward the inside and pull tight
21
Tie a triple knot & cut your extra string
22
Yay!! You have your very own sketchbook!! So, now what?
