How To Paint A Butterfly πŸ¦‹
When creating wings, I work back and forth to match shape.
1
Using brown paint, fill in those wings and start the next 2.
2
For the center, I used black & blue first, then white.
3
Lighten brown with yellow & white, going in direction of center.
4
Mix yellow & white for markings.
5
Pounce markings onto lower wings in a V shape.
6
Use a smaller brush for more detail.
7
Paint with brown. Thin paint out with water, to brush over so you can still see underneath color.
8
Now for some different colored markings.
9
I decided the upper wings should be longer.
10
Painting more details with small brush.
11
Separate the upper and lower wings.
12
Dot bottom of wings.
13
Add some background flowers.
14
To see how to paint these flowers you can hit the link at the end of this video.
15
Add a shadow under butterfly.
16
Use white sparingly to highlight.
17
Finished butterfly! Thanks for watching.
