You need a peeler and a sturdy, sharp knife

Start peeling as shown, while gripping the squash firmly with your other hand

Keep a tight grip as you continue to peel

Cut off each end

Cut it in half - you will have a big half, and a smaller half

Cut the small half into a few large sections

Cut the sections into sticks, bundle them, and cut into cubes

Cut the big part in half, exposing the seeds

Using a melon baller, scoop out the seeds
