Cut out damaged section of drywall

Remove damaged drywall

Cut a new piece of drywall to fit

Measure and mark outlet locations

Cut holes for outlets

Screw drywall into studs

If there is no stud, add furring strips behind the drywall and secure them with screws

Apply mesh tape to seams

Smooth joint compound on top of the tape

Skim coat the wall

Sand and apply tile, texture, or primer
