How To Sew A Whipstitch
Gather your materials: a threaded needle, maybe a pin, and something to sew to something else.
Pin your pieces together to get started. Pull the needle to the top to begin the stitch. Use the thread as a guide to place each stitch.
Continue around in this manner, choosing the next stitch while completing the current stitch by whipping the thread around the edge.
To finish, flip the work around and tie a knot.
Another option is to use the diagonal stitches on the top.
For this method will be using exactly the opposite process, but the same technique.
Complete in the same way. Useful for sewing on patches and appliqué for embellishment and mending.
You can also use this whipstitch method to finish the raw edge or a folded edge on a single piece of fabric.
