How To Shape A Babka

Remove your dough from the fridge and shape it into a square

Lightly flour your work surface and rolling pin and roll out the dough into a 12x16” rectangle

Sprinkle with a sugar-cinnamon mixture all over the surface

Roll the dough into a cylinder and place in the freezer for 15 minutes

Take it out of the freezer and sprinkle more sugar-cinnamon, cut the cylinder in half

Make an “X” with the two pieces and braid them pinching out the ends to secure it

Place the babka inside a 9x5” loaf pan and let it proof

Brush the top of the babka with melted butter and sprinkle more sugar-cinnamon

Bake at 350°F for 40-45 minutes
