How To Smoke A Turkey Breast

Remove the turkey breast from the fridge and sit at room temp for 1 hour. Pat dry with paper towels.

Heat the smoker to 250 degrees. (I like to use a fire starter)

Fruit and nut woods work best with poultry. I like a mix of pecan and apple.

Mix the butter and spices together to form a paste.

Rub the spice/butter mixture evenly over the entire turkey and under the skin.

Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the breast.

Cover with foil and cook for 30 minutes per pound for bone in turkey.

Once cooked, remove from the smoker and allow to rest for 30 minutes. (I'm really bad at carving 😬)

Serve with your favorite side dishes!
