Want to learn how to do this? Keep watching!
Start at the boards to give you extra stability. Practice the motion of pushing your feet out to the sides, trying to create snow. We call this a skid
You want to practice both sides and try to stay off your toepicks as well as the heel of your blade.
Once you feel pretty comfortable try stopping in place without holding on to the wall.
Then you can try it moving. Start at a slower speed and remember to bend your knees.
To do this stop you can either skid with one foot or both feet at the same time.
When doing your snowplow stop you want to avoid locking out your knees and having bad posture.
It is best performed when you have nice posture, bent knees, and arms out for balance!
