How To Transfer Plant Cuttings To LECA
Lightweight Expanded Clay Aggregate (LECA) is an inorganic growing medium that provides a well balanced environment for plant growth
Plants grown in LECA are less likely to have root rot and exhibit less pest problems compared to those that are grown in soil.
Materials: LECA, rooted plant, self watering pot (double layer plant pot), and water.
Rinse plant. Remove all organic matter from roots.
Clean LECA. Let it sit in boiling water for about 30 minutes.
Pour clean LECA in double layer pot and rinse it under cold water.
Fill your duo layer pot to the rim with water to allow the plant to easily establish itself in LECA without damaging the roots.
Pour out excess water. Keep pot about 2/3 filled to start. Adjust as needed.
Care tips: 1. Weekly flushes are recommended. 2. Feed your plant biweekly during active growth.
