How To Visit Craters Of The Moon National Monument

There is a 7-mile one-way loop to drive through the park, stopping at the main sights

The park is a VERY long way from any sizeable towns or services, so make sure to bring food and drinks

The .2 mile hike on black pumice stones is well worth the effort

You can climb up and look down into the mini volcanos

There are lava tubes (caves) that you can explore, but call ahead because they are only open as conditions allow

The trails here are short and accessible. The longest hike in the park is 2 miles
