Start with a prepped and painted base. I use similar colors as my dispersion colors.
1
Mix equal parts resin thoroughly. I’m using Artist Resin and mix 13 ml each part.
2
Coat your tumbler and quickly hit with a torch to pop any bubbles.
3
Separate your remaining resin into 4 cups for your colors.
4
Add a couple drops of each color to your resin.
5
Mix in your colorants. I use Rustic Oak, Leather, Sand dispersion color and white Armor Art.
6
Heat your resin up on your cup with a heat gun to help it flow.
7
Start adding your colors. I keep the dark color a bit heavier on the bottom.
8
Use your heat gun to move the colorants. Add more in areas that need it.
9
Hit with heat again to get the colors moving. Take your cup off the turner and hold vertically.
10
This helps get the vertical drip/swirl to your colors. Be careful to not get pooling along the base.
11
Put your cup back on the turner once you have your swirl the way you like. Let fully cure.
12
Once cured you can add a decal and your final layer.
13
It even looks amazing without a decal! Now you’re ready to enjoy a cup of coffee!
