Italian Chocolate Crostata: Pie Bar
Make a short pastry dough.

For the short pastry add sugar to a food processor. Add cold cubes of butter. Pulse 3-4 times.

Add orange zest and egg yolks and pulse to combine.

Add the flour and salt and pulse to combine. The batter should almost come together.

Place in Saran Wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 350 F.

Line a bread pan with parchment paper for easier removal.

Layer half of the dough into the bottom of the loaf pan. Spread into an even layer. Bake for 15 min.

Cut the chocolate into small pieces.

Add chocolate in one even layer. Then add the rest of the pastry as a crumble on top.

Bake for 20-25 minutes. Let cool and cut.
