Add 1 cup Chana Dal into a bowl. Add Water

Wash Well & Drain

Add 3 cups of Water & Soak for 45 Minutes to 1 Hour

Pressure Cook Chopped Jackfruit Seeds

After 1 hour, Drain Excess Water

Drain Jackfruit Seeds as well

In a Mixer/Blender, Add Chana Dal

Dry Red Chilies, Green Chilies & Grated Ginger

Salt as per Taste

Grind into a coarse mixture without adding any water

Add Cooked Jackfruit Seeds

Grind again into a Coarse Paste

Transfer the ground mixture onto a wide Tray

It should be a dry mixture with little moisture but not too dry

Add Grated Coconut

Chopped Coriander

You Should be able to shape them into balls

Flatten each lime sized ball into discs

Drop them into Hot Oil

Fry on Medium Flame

Flip them after a minute

When half fried, take them off & half fry the second batch

Because we need to double fry them to make them crisp

Now, drop the half fried Ambodes again into oil

Fry for a couple of minutes on medium flame

Golden Crisp Ambode !!
