Jumbo Planter Makeover
See more from B4andAfters
I salvaged 4 of these plastic jumbo planters from the neighbor's trash.
1
I taped off the black faux metal bands.
2
Filled with dirt, they would be very heavy, but I had a plan.
3
I suspect the heaviness of these planters is why they were tossed out.
4
I put on a very light coat of white spray paint.
5
Then I pulled off the tape...
6
This kitty litter bucket shows how huge this planter is!!
7
I put a 6 gallon bucket in, upside down.
8
Then you can fill in the space with pine cones, or any lightweight material.
9
I am going to use pool noodles!
10
I cut them up into sections....
11
Then I filled it in with dirt.
12
I found these cute little mums for 75 cents each at Walmart!!
13
I already had the purple heart and the spider plant.
14
The pumpkins were given to me. Isn't this planter so cute now?! It weighs 64 pounds.
15
Completely filled with dirt it would weigh 120 pounds or more!
16
I hope you liked this idea and that it inspired you!
