Get your spices ready
In a pot, add daal with water, salt;1/4 tsp haldi & a ginger piece.Bring to boil.Lower & let simmer
Tarka: heat oil. Add zeera & Kashmiri chilies. Sauté a few mins. Add onion & fry till golden brown
Once golden brown, add in chopped tomatoes & mix well.
Add: cube; roasted cumin;roasted coriander; chilli powder; Shaan Daal masala. Mix well
Now add chopped garlic, green chilies & curry leaves. Mix well
Pour over daal. Mix. Add 1/4 tsp garam masala & mix. Turn stove off
Kaali Daal is ready 🍛
Serve with rice & achaar 😍
