Kiawah Island, SC Travel Guide
As you drive from John’s Island to Kiawah Island, you’ll be welcomed by Spanish Moss and towering trees. It’s absolutely stunning!
Make a stop at Angel Oak, a 500 year old magnificent tree with an expansive width. It just keeps going & going!
Kiawah Island is a very large community with miles of walking and biking paths. I always feel so at peace when I spend time outside here.
Bikes are available to rent in the community and because the sand on the beach is hard, you can easily ride up and down the shore.
Golf is very popular here! There’s a few courses and driving ranges that are available to visitors as well as members. Watch out for the 🐊!
Kiawah Island has both marsh and ocean access which means you get some of the best sunset views. Every night is this beautiful!
Most homes here are vacation homes to the owners which means they’re available to rent on AirBNB. You can get both extravagant and modest homes.
Bring your pup! This is a very dog friendly community & dogs are allowed on the beach year round which is such a treat!
Take a day trip into Charleston which is just a 25 minute drive! There’s so much to do, excellent shopping & delicious restaurants.
Kiawah’s downtown is called Freshfields Village. There’s great restaurants, shops and a grocery store. Pretty much all you’d ever need!
